I started with a 24" x 60" water tank, and shortened it to 48"
I built it piece by piece starting with the stack and firebox sides and vents
This going to be a back yard smoker mountd on a rolling frame made fro 2x2x1/8 square tubing
completed frame and stud plates to mount 1000lb ccasters
Firebox construction 24x16 x22 wierd size but it works
Air Vents 2 3" holes on each side
All pieces together waiting assembly
Everything welded together
Bung for grease drain and cleanout 1, 2" and 1, 1"
Door marked ready for cutting
Door cut hinges intalled and door seals plug welded on, counter weight frame started
The counter weight top tube is filled with a 1 3/4 x 27" solid bar stock for weight
Cooking rack slides and baffles started i still need to cut iut all the old bungs and weld in plates
Stack installed 5x26" with cover
Sorry for the last few crappy phone pics
Cut out and patched old bung holes
Built sliding racks and front counter shelf
I found a piece of cast iron grating to place on the fire grate
Installed handle for pulling cooker around
I had some copper plate laying around so i made the counter top out of it, i also installed a towel holder, and tool hooks for utensils
After painting the copper will be rivited down
The cooker construcytion is done ready for sand blasting and paint, but i'm going to be working allot and going on vacation in Aug so it's on hold until probably Sept for completion
Ok I'm back from vacation, While i was gone the smoker came back from the sand blaster
It gets a fresh coat of 1200 deg BBQ black
The inside was coated with oil and a test fire was burned for about 4 hours to cure the inside
